Saniderm Tattoo After Care

Your tattoo has been covered with Saniderm Adhesive.

Taking proper care of your investment will assure it heals infection free, and stays looking fresh for years. We offer a complete line of H2Ocean aftercare products at our Studio for an additional $15 at time of check-out.

ALWAYS WASH YOUR HANDS BEFORE AND AFTER YOU CLEAN YOUR TATTOO, AND DO NOT WASH YOUR TATTOO UNLESS YOU ARE CLEANING IT. This is crucial in minimizing your risk of infection. Swelling, seeping, soreness, and itching, are all common in the first few days or week. Ibuprofen is best to relieve discomfort.

This adhesive should be worn for three days without removing it. At the end of the third day, run warm water over the adhesive and peel it off as you would a bandaid. After the adhesive is completely removed, wash your tattoo with Gold Dial Antibacterial soap, pat dry, and let air dry for around 10 minutes before applying a thin layer of H2Ocean moisturizing cream or fragrance free lotion. Wash, dry, and use moisturizing cream daily.

DO NOT scratch or pick

DO NOT use Vaseline, Neosporin, harsh cleaners or scented lotion

DO NOT use tanning beds or tanning sprays for 2-3 weeks

DO NOT submerge in water. Showers are great, but absolutely no baths, ocean, or lake water for the first 3 weeks

If you have any questions regarding the healing process of your tattoo, please feel free to call our Studio at any time

Please contact your Health Care practitioner at the first sign of infection, allergic reaction, or adverse reaction resulting from the tattoo and report it to your tattoo artist and to the Texas Department of State Health Services at 1-888-839-6676.
